I absolutely love how this article decodes the never-ending egg jargon. Here on out, if I eat eggs, I'm only buying "pasture raised." Please read this article and gain a true understanding of what all the terms mean: DECODING EGG JARGON: CLICK HERE.

Swallowing My Own Medicine
Posted at
2:04 PM
Gotta love it when your clients make you train yourself harder. I just trained a client whom I pushed to lift heavier weights than what she thought possible for herself, which caused her to grunt, breathe hard and complain a little. I looked at her after she completed her SECOND set and said, "Steph, sometimes it just has to hurt. You need to push your limits and go further than your comfort zone. You can't always work out at a level that "feels good" 'cuz that's not going to break down your muscle fibers in order for them to repair themselves and get stronger, which in turn metabolizes fat more effectively." Maybe I got a little too technical, but she agreed with the reasoning and I dare say even liked the power in knowing just how strong she really is! Soon after she left, I trotted my butt downstairs to get in my strength session for the day and was on a set of flys when I realized, "hmm, this isn't too bad, kind of nice." Almost instantaneously, I thought about the conversation I just had moments before with Steph and how she pushed through her limits. I sighed, changed to a greater weight, and went through with three more sets. GULP... that pill is down but I know it's gonna make me stronger. Thanks, Steph!

You Won't Believe Where Silly Putty Is Hiding In Your Food
Posted at
5:00 PM
A great article and one to read entirely through. Sadly, too many people will simply snuff at this and go on with eating fast food and drinking fountain soda, and then later in life get very very sick and wonder "why me?" So much cancer and disease can be prevented or reversed if only people would take a little more care to what they are putting into their mouths. It's so simple, but apparently so hard for people to grasp. Maybe this article will touch just one person and save one life. What a great thought that is. Shoutouts to Some Amazing Clients
Posted at
8:35 PM
Only 16 days in, and I am thrilled to report, Studio 1-ON-1 clients have proven their determination to meet their fitness goals. We have experienced an incredible start to the new year. Stephanie, MJ, Hayah and Tom are now 2 weeks into their 365 days of exercise, and they are lookin' strong. Hannah bench pressed 20's today like they were only dimes. Tracy already layered in one additional workout per week at the Studio (glutton for punishment?), while Meghan broke barriers with the January blahs and conquered a juice cleanse and showed steely dedication to her workouts. These are just a handful of stories and I am certain I will be sharing more throughout the year. When you see Studio 1-ON-1 clients on Facebook or Twitter, give them a shout out of encouragement to stay the course. And if you haven't joined our fitness family yet, why not do so today?
